Rajnikanth Ushabhai Patel controls sucking pests in rice and cotton by using decoction of three kg Jatropha (Jatropha gossypifolia L.) leaves in 20 lt. of water. The mixture is boiled till 5 lt. of extract remains in the container. About 200 ml of extract is added to 15 lt. of water for spraying on the affected rice and cotton crop.Rajnikanth has also used 5 lt of Jatropha extract mixed with 500 ml kerosene. About 50 gm powder of Soap nut (Sapindus emarginatus Vahl) or 50 gm washing powder are mixed with water before adding kerosene.
