Cow urine as growth enhancer

Due to insect problem the tender and top crown leaves of coconut start rotting, turn yellow and fall down. It is advisable to remove the tip by the time it starts turning yellow. If it cannot be removed at that stage, then with a strong iron rod the tip of the tree is pierced and then removed. Further, one litre cow urine, 250g neem oil, 500g wheat flour are mixed and poured on the tree from its apex. This acts as an effective growth enhancer and within two months new shoot/leaves reappear. It is suggested that care should be taken so that water does not get into this treated area. So during rainy season the top tip of the tree has to be kept covered.See Honey Bee 3(1): 15,1992: 7(2): 15,1992; 10(2): 8,1999; 10(4): 7,1999 on practices of using cow urine in pest management.
